9 May 9

On this date,

I slept from 12 PM to 6 PM. The night before was extraordinary in many ways. The rain shower before we boarded the bus was very welcoming (Rain has always foretold good fortunes...for me)

While enjoying the company of those 4 young college girls and 7 'neighbours', the night at that rock hill top that night was heavenly! The cool breeze, shining full moon in that lake surface, the moving clouds, the comfort of that rock surface within the sleeping bag, the joyous energy emanating from the teens around, the jumping atoms from the melting chocolate in my mouth...all that elated the mind!

I've started flirting with my middle age!
As I drift to sleep, the question lingered....What's the right amount of bio-diversity required for this planet to flourish?

The last Mantra of Rig Veda

The last Mantra of Rig Veda emphasizes the unity and harmony of entire humanity,

“Samani vha aakutihi, samana hrudyani vha, samanam astu vo mano, yatha vha su saha asti.”

“Let your aims be one, let your hearts be one, let your minds be one, and let your unity go from strength to strength”

Nurturing to Deserve

By Nurturing something, you earn the right to reap the benefits from it.

Nurturing a Plant, a Family or a Nation is all equally challenging and interesting. Choose the one that gives you Happiness today.

Directional Relevance

Wanting Things is a form of Misery.
Happiness in Western Culture is about wanting something & getting it. But Craving is never ending. So, as long as we look at Western Culture as the model of Growth, our sufferings will persist. And to change our direction of Growth in today's globalized world is like steering a 40 feet truck for a U-turn.  It can happen when all beings including Humans can collectively work towards it!
Happy Ugadi 2017!
